Steven M. Mariano
Mr. Mariano is an entrepreneur and businessman with over 20 years of experience in the insurance and insurance services industries. He founded Strategic Outsourcing Inc., a professional staffing company with over $1 billion in sales, which was sold to Union Planters Bank (Regions Bank, NYSE). His success with SOI earned him a finalist position for the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Mr. Mariano later founded the companies that would comprise Patriot National, Inc., a diversified provider of workers’ compensation and managed care services including Patriot Underwriters, a national insurance program administrator, Patriot Risk Services, a national third party administrator, and Patriot Care Management, a provider of managed care services.
Mr. Mariano is very active in the South Florida community and is involved in numerous charitable and development organizations, including the CEO Council of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, Broward County’s official public/private partnership for economic development.
Sean Bidic, M.D.
Dr. Bidic joined our board of directors in November 2016. Since 2010, Dr. Bidic has served as the Founding President of American Surgical Arts, a plastic and reconstructive surgery practice located in southern New Jersey. He is a board-certified plastic surgeon with added qualifications in surgery of the hand. Dr. Bidic currently serves as an attending surgeon at the Inspira Health Network, Kennedy Health System, Virtua Health System, Cape Regional Health System and Memorial Hospital of Salem County as well as an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business. Dr. Bidic also holds an MFA degree from Carnegie Mellon University as well as an M.D. from Columbia University
John R. Del Pizzo
Mr. Del Pizzo received a B.S in Marketing Management from St. Joseph's University and an MBA in Finance from Drexel University. Mr. Del Pizzo is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of CPAs.
In 1995, Mr. Del Pizzo founded Del Pizzo & Associates, Certified Public Accountants which specializes in accounting, sophisticated tax planning and financial consulting for entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals. Previously, Mr. Del Pizzo was the partner in charge of the tax department of the Philadelphia, PA office of Pannell Kerr Forster, an international CPA and consulting firm where he specialized in the hospitality, health care and property and casualty insurance industries.
From 1992 to 2000, Mr. Del Pizzo served on the board of directors of Strategic Outsourcing Inc. a professional staffing company and as President of ATS of Pennsylvania, a wholly owned subsidiary of Strategic Outsourcing, Inc. Strategic Outsourcing, Inc. was sold to Union Planters bank (Regions Bank, NYSE) in 2000. From 2003 to 2011, Mr. Del Pizzo served as board member and Audit Committee Chairman of Patriot Risk Management, Inc. which was sold to MCMC, LLC in 2011. From 2003 to 2014, Mr. Del Pizzo served as board member and Audit Committee Chairman of Patriot National Insurance Group, Inc. and Guarantee Insurance Company, Inc.
Mr. Del Pizzo joined our board of directors in 2014. In addition, Mr. Del Pizzo has served in leadership positions of several charitable, professional and civic organizations including the YMCA of Philadelphia as advisory board member, the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County as Chairman of the Board and Treasurer, the Rotary International Club of Ardmore as board member and Treasurer, the Ardmore Rotary Foundation as board member and Treasurer, Llanerch Country Club as President, Treasurer and board member and as Chairman of the Annual Tax Forum of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs.
Mr. O’Brien joined our board of directors in November 2016. Since 2011, Mr. O’Brien has served as Managing Director in RW Baird’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group, specializing in equity, debt and M&A transactions for both public and private companies. Previously, he was a Managing Director at FBR Capital Markets, where he established and led the firm’s Real Estate Private Equity and Advisory Group. Mr. O’Brien received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from St. Joseph’s University and an MBA degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Michael J. Purcell
Mr. Purcell joined our board of directors in January 2017. Mr. Purcell has more than 36 years of professional experience at Deloitte LLP, providing assurance and advisory services to public and private companies. During his tenure, Mr. Purcell served as the Philadelphia Office leader of Deloitte's middle-market and growth enterprise services. In 2015, Mr. Purcell retired from his position as Audit Partner but continues to provide services as a consultant to Deloitte. Mr. Purcell currently serves on the Board of Directors for Capital Funding Bancorp and McKean Defense Group as well as various educational and non-profit organizations. Mr. Purcell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Lehigh University and an MBA degree from Drexel University.
Jeffrey P. Rohr
Mr. Rohr joined our board of directors in January 2017. Mr. Rohr has 30 years of senior management experience at Deloitte LLP as well as extensive experience in governance processes having career-long experience serving clients in a multitude of industries and having last served in the role of Vice-Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Deloitte. In that role Mr. Rohr was a member of the firm’s U.S. Executive Committee and its Global Management Committee and was responsible for all the financial affairs of Deloitte. Mr. Rohr is a member of the Board of Directors of American Express Centurion Bank, where he is Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee, Allied Minds PLC, where he is Chairman of the Audit Committee, the Board of Education of the Bronxville School District, where he is President, ChatLingual, Inc., and the Homeownership Preservation Foundation. Mr. Rohr holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida State University, where he serves as Chairman of the College of Business Board of Governors.
Mr. Smith has served as a director since January 2015. Mr. Smith is the founder and President of Cadre Business Advisors LLC, a management consulting firm that specializes in strategic planning, business performance improvement, capital formation and turnaround management. Prior to starting Cadre, Mr. Smith was Partner-in-Charge of Arthur Andersen's Desert Southwest business consulting practice with responsibility for business development and client engagement management for Arizona and New Mexico. Mr. Smith has business development, growth and operational profit and loss experience across a wide variety of industries. Mr. Smith also has over eight years of diversified corporate management experience. Since 1998 he has served on the Board of Banner Health and chairs its Compensation Committee and serves on its Executive and Nominating & Governance Committees and was previously its Chairman. Since 2014, Mr. Smith has served as a member of the board of directors of Store Capital Inc. (NYSE:STOR) and chairs its Compensation Committee and serves on its Nominating & Governance and Executive Committees. He has served on the boards of the Arizona Public Service Company and Arizona MultiBank. He also has served on the boards of Employee Solutions, Inc., Rodel, Inc. and iCrossing, Inc. until those companies were sold or acquired. Mr. Smith holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Management and Computer Science from Purdue University and an M.B.A. in Quantitative Methods from Pepperdine University.
Mr. Walsh joined our Board of Directors in January 2015. Since 1983, Mr. Walsh has served as the Managing Partner of Walsh Partners Real Estate Development, a real estate development company. In addition, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago White Sox since 1984 and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Bulls since 1981. Mr. Walsh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University.
